S.H.O.T.G.U.N
A downloadable game for Windows
THEY WANT YOU BACK.
BACK WHERE YOU CAME FROM.
YOU HAVE OTHER IDEAS.
What is S.H.O.T.G.U.N?
S.H.O.T.G.U.N is a short (six levels + tutorial) game that relies heavily on movement technique, quick reactions and your innate understanding of physics. Your shotgun must be manually pumped and can't be reloaded. (Although, if you manage to actually use all 50 shells in a single stage, that's your fault.)
This game takes inspiration mainly from ULTRAKILL and SUPERHOT. A lot of inspiration was also taken from Dani's KARLSON demo from years ago. Block capital titles appear to be theme with these type of games, but I did one better and made mine an acronym.
There's also a few story elements thrown in, so if anyone wants to get their MatPat impression revved up, be my guest!
Is there an overarching objective?
No, not really.
Improve your skills, improve your times. Think you can beat my developer time? You'll get a reward if you do. Don't get your hopes up too much though, its nothing big.
Whats the "Steam Art Pack"?
I like launching my Non-Steam Games through Steam for the Steam Overlay, and I imagine there are people like me out there. The Steam Art Pack is a pack containing covers and banner images, to make it look better in your library.
Will there be updates?
Uhhhhhh maybe....
Controller Support
Technically yes, actually no. You can plug an Xbox controller in and it will respond to your inputs. I do not recommend playing that way at all. For your own sake, use a mouse and keyboard. I'll be honest, I only added the support because Lucious (who made most of the OST) wouldn't stop bitching about it.
Controls

Mouse or Right Analog Stick - Look
Left Click or Right Bumper - Fire
Right Click or Left Bumper - Pump

We've got that too:
System Requirements
This game runs at a constant 60FPS on my Steam Deck, you'll be fine.
Note for Linux users. (All three of them)
I am also a Linux user. I had originally planned to release a native Linux build, but Unity clearly still hasn't figured out how to make that work yet. There were hitches and glitches that wasn't present when I ran the Windows version through Steam Proton. I'd suggest you do the same. (You can use the Steam Art Pack to make it look nice!)
